Jossie Lukacik

Jossie Lukacik is a passionate entrepreneur hailing from Rockville, Maryland. She earned a BSBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami in 2013. Following her academic pursuits, Jossie honed her pastry skills at the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisseriein France the same year.

In 2013, Jossie relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she made a significant impact as the opening pastry chef at Heirloom Restaurant. She continued to elevate her craft in fine dining pastry at esteemed establishments such as The Dunhill Hotel, The Asbury, and Block & Grinder.

In 2017, Jossie decided to pivot from restaurant kitchens to entrepreneurship, founding Sweet Affairs, a thriving business specializing in wedding cakes and dessert catering. That same year, she launched Sweet Spot Kitchen, a shared-use kitchen facility that has nurtured over 50 baking businesses, facilitating the growth of four into independent storefronts.

Jossie has been named North Carolina Pastry Chef of the Year 2017, Mecklenburg Times 50 Most Influential Women 2021, and a Charlottean of the Year by Charlotte Magazine 2021. Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, Jossie is deeply committed to supporting fellow small businesses, particularly those owned by women. She actively champions local organizations and has raised over $25,000 throughout her career for causes such as Project 658, Foster Village Charlotte, Time Out Youth, and Cakeable.Jossie Lukacik's journey exemplifies resilience, creativity, and a steadfast dedication to both her craft and community, making her a standout figure in Charlotte's culinary and small business landscape.
